In Malaysia, there are 2 biggest Marathon events, SCKLM and PBIM. In fact, as a Malaysian, we are totally proud of it and always promote and spread a good words of it.

PBIM, you make us shame as Penangite. New state government with 3 years of experiences. There are no more excuses!!!

Penang Bridge

Penang Bridge (Jambatan Pulau Pinang in MalayMes-e36.png is a dual carriageway toll bridge connects Gelugor on the island of Penang and Seberang Prai on the mainland of Malaysia on the Malay Peninsula. The bridge is also linked to theNorth-South Expressway in Prai and Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway in Penang. It was officially opened to traffic on September 14, 1985. The total length of the bridge is 13.5 km (8.4 miles), making it the longest bridge in Malaysia as and the fourth-longest in Southeast Asia. Penang Bridge Sdn Bhd (PBSB) is the concession holder which manages it. The bridge was designed by Penang resident, Professor Chin Fung Kee, a well known civil engineer.
Before 1985, transportation between the island and the mainland was solely dependent on the state-owned Penang Ferry Service that runs between Butterworth and George Town. Toll fees is only paid when heading to the island. There is no charge for leaving the island.
Currently, Penang Bridge handles 65,000 vehicles daily and has a capacity of handling 85,000 vehicles daily. It has been expanded from 4 lanes to 6 lanes to accommodate increasing traffic on the bridge. A proposal for second bridge, thePenang Second Bridge, has been approved by the Malaysian federal government and included as one of the Ninth Malaysia Plan national projects. Construction work of the new Penang Second Bridge began in November 2008, and the target completion date is year 2013.
Recently, Penang Bridge was assign with route number Mes-e36.png.





MengKuang Dam - View from Bukit Burung

Mengkuang Dam (Malay: Empangan Mengkuang, Tasik Mengkuang) is a Dam located less than 28 km to the north-east of Butterworth town.[1] It is the only dam situated in Province Wellesley (Penang Mainland) and the second dam built in Penangafter Ayer Itam dam. It was officially opened by the former Governor, Dr. Tun Awang bin Hassan in 1985.[2] It has the water catchment area of 3.9sq km and a gross storage capacity of 23.6 billion litres makes it the largest dam in Penang, almost 10 times the capacity of the Air Itam Dam.[3] Mengkuang Dam will be close to the public starts on 2014 for enlargement and renovation.[4]

Perak River and Sultan Abdul Jalil Bridge

The Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah Bridge (MalayJambatan Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah) is one of two bridges that cross the Perak River in Kuala KangsarPerak in Malaysia. The other bridge is the Iskandariah Bridge.
The bridge connects the town of Kuala Kangsar with Sayong village, spanning 330 meters across the river. It was officially opened by the Sultan of PerakSultan Azlan Shah in June 2002.




Istana Kenangan - Perak Royal Museum
The Istana Kenangan (Remembrance Palace) was a royal residence in Kuala Kangsar in Perak, Malaysia. It was built in 1926 for Sultan Iskandar Shah by the Malay carpenter Enci Sepian from Bukit Mertajam, with the assistance of his sons Zainal Abidin and Ismail.

KL Tower


The Kuala Lumpur Tower (MalayMenara Kuala Lumpur; abbreviated as KL Tower) is a tall tower located in Kuala LumpurMalaysia. Its construction was finished in 1995. It is used for communication purposes and features an antenna that reaches 421 m (1,381 ft), which currently makes it the second tallest freestanding tower in the world. The roof of the pod is at 335 m (1,099 ft).
